Why I Blog

November 10, 2010

Lately I’ve been reading a lot of how-to articles for new bloggers and almost all of the topics are the same: “Why should you blog?”

So instead of keeping my answer to myself on why I blog, I thought I would share it with you in a blog post (how meta huh?).

Why I started to Blog:

I started to blog for a number of reasons, but the main reason was that while growing up I had a hard time focusing in class. Classes such as writing and English were especially hard for me, and I tended to get bad grades because of it. I couldn’t focus in these classes, not because I didn’t want, but because something inside of me was making it hard for me to pay attention.

Now as an adult I’m finding that I’ve had troubles with my writing not being as clear as it could be. So, instead of just sitting back doing nothing about it, I am trying to teach myself how to write. I want to better myself and I think that reading, writing and education in general is the most important thing to focus on.

Having this blog is forcing me to write on a daily basis, but this blog does much more than just forcing me to write, it is also forcing me to read and learn about a new and interesting topics which in-turn is pushing me to better myself.

I know my writing may not be the best, but I feel that this past year my writing has improved and that alone makes me want to continue: And if I can help someone learn something new or get someone to think outside of the box, with one of my posts, then that is even better.

Thank You

I want to thank all of you who have been reading my blog this past year and I hope to continue this blog and to continue to grow.

If you have any recommendations for my blog or my writing feel free to leave a comment or hit my up on Google Buzz, Twitter or Facebook.
